WordPress blogs are available from our hosting service, like the Mount Totumas Blog linked on the left, which we set up. Blogger is the one I use. So far I haven't customized my layout because I know that I can easily do it when I get around to it. Content and widgets are higher priorities.
Krugman is one of my favorites for content. Accessible is an example of beautiful customization. Mashable is a daily digest of many blogs about social networking, technology and whatever is hot online today.

Google Buzz is an excellent source of material for your posts.
